Remove space between header and rest of site

    I’m trying to get the header sitting directly on top of the content, but I can’t remove this space. I can see it represented as a dotted purple line on inspector but i’m not sure how to change the properties of that line.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey there thornleighuniting

    I can see there is a 30px margin above the image that is creating an additional space after the header.
    Because your theme (Byrne) is paid I couldn’t try to find if it has an option to edit the margin dimension, an easy option would be to edit that margin using CSS, for this you would need a Premium plan or above.

    The forum for help with CSS is:
    https://wordpress.com/forums/forum/css-customization/

    Or maybe you’ll get another option using the support for the theme here:
    https://wordpress.com/theme/byrne/support

    Hope this helped!

  • Hi there!

    You can edit the template of your posts and remove the Spacer Block from there:

    This should reduce the space between your content and the header.

    @cuellin
    , there’s no need to send users to subforums. The WordPress.com staff checked all new threads, regardless of where they were posted.

    Thank you staff-mckluskey for the clarification 😉, I’ll keep it in mind from now on.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding thornleighuniting, I was referring to a space over your cover block in the homepage, instead of the space between your content and the header.

    Have a great day 👍
