Remove Spaces from Photos and Make Larger

Hello All,
I am using the Fresh and Clean Template, but even when I switched templates I’m still having problems. When I upload my pictures they have large spaces between them, and when I click on them they open up a slideshow. I do not want spaces between the images. I want them to be very large so viewers have to scroll down to look at them. I have changed the images sizes to large, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Fresh and Clean is a theme that ‘s coded to display excerpts on the frint page only. That cannot be changed but one can use the active excerpt box which is an html editor to display full posts. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts
An image gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. When clicked, gallery images are displayed in a full-size carousel view. When the “permalink” is clicked in the Carousel the individual images can be viewed on their own pages. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

Hello again. So are you saying that there is another way to upload photos without using the gallery?

Yes there is, but you can also achieve what you’re looking for while using the gallery feature; switch the editor to HTML and turn the gallery shortcode to this:
