remove tags and username in Vigilance
-
Hello,
I am using the WordPress theme Vigilance and requested help with a CSS upgrade from it’s designer… I wanted to suppress the tags and username that appear at the top of each post.
He provided me with the following code:
div.meta {
display:none;
}div.entry {
padding-top:20px;
}I purchased the CSS upgrade and added this code to my stylesheet and IT WORKED. but only for a few weeks. As of this morning, my tags and username are back at the top of each post, though I have made no changes to my stylesheet.
What happened? What do I need to do to ensure these don’t appear?
Please advise.

Do uou understand what tags do? Tags are indexed by search engine spiders and the results are displayed to potential blog readers when those people type words into Google search, Bing search, Yahoo search or into any of the search engines. Removing them is not in your best interest if your want to increase your readership.

I’m not sure what has happened, but it seems to be working again. Very strange. Sorry for the bother…

Yes, I do understand what tags do and my goal is not to REMOVE them from my posts… believe me, I am tagging up the wazzooooo… My goal is simply not to DISPLAY them. Especially at the beginning of each post… it looks messy and cluttered.
Thanks tho!
