Remove text
-
On one of my blogs I am using the Ocean Mist theme. How do I remove the page name text that shows up below the page tabs? It shows up on the page no matter what theme I am using, so I am assuming it is something that can be easily removed. You can see an example on http://treevineag.wordpress.com. Thanks

The page name display is part of the theme and cannot be removed. It is standard web behavior for a page name to be displayed, which why most themes include it.

But I have another blog and it doesn’t show up on that one though. I could see if I was only one specific themes, but it shows up on everyone.

The page title is controlled by the same section of the CSS that controls post titles, so although you can remove the page title with the paid CSS upgrade, it would also remove the post titles. For your blog, since you are not using posts, that would not be a problem, but if you were to begin using posts along with pages, they would not have titles and that would be confusing for viewers.
The paid CSS upgrade has no official support and few here have much experience with it, so if you decided to go that route, I suggest you figure things out first using the CSS editing preview. And, go to the CSS forum and look at the sticky posts at the top of that forum and familiarize yourself with CSS first before attempting any changes.

If you remove the blog name from the header, search engines will throw your entire blog into the toilet and flush. No-one will ever find you.
