remove the gay pride banner

The banner is an affront to your Christian and religious community. You should not take sides in an emotive issues. You should ensure freedom of speech and neutrality. Doing so will always make sure that the truth remains. I find it offensive and I would sincerely move to a neutral service provider if your services were not that good.

On the light blue administrative pages and in the WordPress Reader the dark blue toolbar today is replaced by one in rainbow colours. A quick look at a news site told me that WordPress.com must be taking sides for the legalisation of homosexual marriage by the U.S. Supreme Court.
I strongly object to being forcibly marched under a banner without my prior consent.
I started my weblog on WordPress.com under the unspoken assumption that WordPress.com were politically and socially absolutely neutral.
If this turns out not to be the case, I am afraid I shall have to remove my weblog. -
The banner is a symbol of human rights. But I understand that many people don’t care about human rights beyond their own narrow community.
Ashamed to read so much disrespectful comments. -
I take the rainbow banner as a symbol of the homosexual movement – never heard of it being used as a human rights symbol. At issue here, however, is the compromised neutrality of the blog hosting service provider. Any blogger can post as many rainbows or whatever on their own blog as they want to, but the provider itself must never represent its members as endorsing any opinion or point of view by including political messages in the design of its pages.

Fellow bloggers, put up posts on your blogs informing your non-blogging readers (who can’t see it) about this forced rainbow banner display! I have put my blog on strike until this thing is gone.

WP, I respect your views on Gays…but personally I don’t support your goals for gay marriage…Marriage is only for between male and female…It is not being unequal…GOD the true author of Marriage has just made it that way…it is not men who should change the meaning of marriage. I hope you respect my beliefs as well so please don’t put it on my private personal page.

The rainbow master bar was added in support of the Supreme Court of the United States ruling on same-sex marriage today.
WordPress.com has joined other companies such as Tumblr, Twitter, Google, and Facebook in showing our support for marriage equality.
