Remove the grey background from the sticky post
-
You did it! The change saved! There was just one typo, the first part should have been “.home .sticky” but you were missing a space between “.home” and “.sticky”. I fixed it for you.
Check it out! http://endtimesinformation.wordpress.com/
I will find out about the other thread, however, I know that WordPress.com normally doesn’t remove past threads.

That’s brilliant, thank you.
However I have suffered enough with this. I do not think it is fair that due to all the problems I have experienced getting rid of the shading on the sticky post, there is a post on the internet which contains a few inaccuracies puts me personally in quite a bad light.
I would like it removed please or else I will be left with no option but to write a formal letter of complaint to WordPress.com, enclosing all the posts that I have made on this topic and showing the hoops I have had to jump through what I have had to endure just to get a proper answer to a simple question.
Just to remove a piece of shading that IMHO probably shouldn’t really have been there in the first place, as if people want shading, surely they can put it in themselves?
Thank you.

Formal complaint? Please send your ego out for a long walk and search your soul while you read what you posted into forum threads and absorb the truth.
Those who have grounds to make a formal complaint are those who tried to help you and were faced with abuse, unsubstantiated allegations and accusations you made against them, all while posing as a victim.
Always be aware that you are posting to a public forum, and that forum topics may only be deleted if they represent a valid security or personal safety concern. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-code-of-conduct?replies=1

Actually you are the one who is rude and falsely accusing. And that post proves it.
I didn’t even ask you to comment and have never even addressed a post to you, nor even mentioned your name, unlike your various false accusations, putdowns and insults, I have had to endure such as the last post, directed to me personally and meant to hurt and make me feel and look bad.
That is abuse. It’s a sad fact that those who are abusive don’t even know it.
My post was to ask to have another thread removed. Did I ask you to comment or give your opinion?
I am more than happy to get a second opinion on who is bullying who and exactly who is being abusive.
I’ll just collect up all the posts and put them in a letter and let a third party decide who is abusing whom.
Thanks.

I see now which things you might have been referring to.
However, I think this is mainly just a misunderstanding!
@aliceharding, could we maybe please put all of the other stuff in the past (even the recent last two posts on this thread) and just stick to the blog issues from now on? I would really like to help you with your blog and I don’t want insults to be a part of anything in our forums for you from this point forward. I do believe you were just really frustrated and upset before and that things were misinterpreted. I think leaving the past thread alone and moving forward just with blog help issues is the best resolution.
-
Does that mean we can delete the threads?
I actually do need to have them deleted.
I think anyone could reasonably understand that.
Thank you.

Deleting the threads isn’t really the best option—managing public disputes is not something WordPress.com support should have to be responsible for, and normally, removing content from a public forum on the internet requires a court order which is not something I think you want to do.
I am not able to spend time to review the other thread again today as I am leaving. I will review it again on Monday to see if I can find a solution that will work for you.
In the mean time, let’s stick to blog support issues.

Thank you. I’m glad that you do see my point. I appreciate that removing the threads might not be the best option for WordPress, but it is the best option for me.
If WordPress refuse to remove the threads, although I don’t wish to have yet more completely nerve-wracking and pointless time-wasting tasks to have to deal with, all over shading in a sticky post, but I will have to take it up with them.
It is a public forum, but it is run by WordPress, and I would find it difficult to understand why they would want it advertised that this is the kind of treatment that people can experience on their forums.
I look forward to hearing from you on Monday and by then I will have collected any offending posts along with their threads and put them into a document.

I have responded to this issue by email so we can hopefully sort it out there without needing to add extra replies about disputes in the forums where it’s preferable to stay focused on blog support.
As a result, I am closing this thread.
