Remove the hold wordpress has over my domain

    Hi there,

    My plan expired, but my domain is still holding onto the WordPress. I have removed the IP links in my DNS registrar.

    However, when I go to the root link, it is still telling me that I need to log in and update a plan in order to use my domain from WordPress.

    I find this very odd, especially since it was brought on Namecheap and WordPress does not have ownership of it.

    Please can someone assist, thanks.

    Hi,

    Nameserver updates can sometimes take up to 72 hours for DNS changes to propagate over the interwebs and as strange as it sounds, the last person to see the change to DNS is the owner of the domain, usually due to caching somewhere along the way.

    FWIW, I am not seeing anything connected with WordPress.com when I view your domain.
