Remove the “Home” tab from Vigilance
-
Hello everyone,
I’m new to wordpress and have a little question regarding the Vigilance theme (which I chose because of its high customization :)).
After reading through some other threads, I finally managed to get the “About” tab off my header…but it would be very nice if I could remove the “Home” tab too since you can also go to the home-page by simply clicking on the banner….and this little home icon in the corner ticks me off. Thanks for the help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can’t. It’s coded into the template and we cannot edit our templates at wordpress.com http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/
Several themes have a special header tab, usually “Home”, occasionally “Homepage” [*] or “Front Page” [**] or “Blog” [***] or an image [****]: that’s not a page such as those you create but a link back to the blog front (the main blog URL, which can be your latest posts or a static page). That tab is hard-coded into the theme: you cannot edit or remove it (except in Motion and Titan). http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/05/06/the-home-tab/

Ah, I see. Thank you very much for the fast reply.
Well, then I guess I have to adjust to it…or maybe I’ll add some other pages so that it won’t look so lonely up there ;) -
I use the same theme and I also have static pages so it’s not “lonely” lol :D. Static Pages are meant to be used for content that rarely, if ever, changes. I have these static pages:
About page (about me and the blog)
Copyright
Commenting policy
Popular Posts
etc. -
That’s also a good idea. Thanks! Now I only need some fixed information or some other thing worth writing about to put on the pages besides the “About” page. But I’m sure as time passes, something will come into my mind.

Is there any way to change the name of the “Home” tab? Everything on my blog is in Swedish except that tab.
