Hi everyone,
This is an issue I would like to solve. By default I have a search bar on my blog. It has a default message “Not Found, Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.” How can I get rid if this message without getting rid of the search bar?For anyone who can shed some light on this, our blog is at: http://expressivearth.wordpress.com/
Thanks for any feedback!

Jim – your problem is not the search bar. Your problem is that you have no posts on your blog. Once you post an entry (not a page), that message will go away.

I don’t understand why you’d want a blog without a search box. I’d say that every web site, blog or not, should have a prominent search box. (But I never use words like every and never.)

@vivianpaige
my blog is kufner.wordpress.com …and i don’t have a CSS upgrade (is this a problem?)
tnx -
@kufner – please consider linking your blog to your user name as shown here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-make-your-name-link-to-your-blog?replies=54 It makes it easier for volunteers in the forums to help.
You cannot remove the search box without the paid CSS upgrade. And if you don’t already know CSS, then I would strongly suggest that you not buy it. There is no official support for CSS and only a few volunteers in the forum are well-versed in it.
I have to agree, though, with everyone else: removing the search box is a bad idea. Blog readers are used to seeing it on a blog. Heck – I use mine on a regular basis to find my prior posts that I need to link to.

I add my blog page to my name… it should work now
I’ll wait before I upgrade to CSS :) tnx for help! -

Can we at least change the text on it???? I’m really sick of seeing the text that appears in the search form in copyscape when I check for plagiarism on my blog.
