Hi,
If you mean this button:When you subscribe to a blog on WordPress.com, you can follow along with that blog’s posts via email and the Reader. This guide will show you how to add a blog to your subscriptions. Subscribe to a Blog on WordPress.com To keep up with a WordPress.com-hosted blog via Reader and email notifications, take the following steps: Visit the homepage of the website you wish to follow. Clickit can not be removed.
Please note that regular visitors of your site won’t see this button as this button only shows up when someone visits your site while logged into their WordPress.com account (as this button is meant for other WordPress.com users to follow your blog through the reader or email)
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, don’t hesitate to let us know!

It can’t be true that the only way to remove this is to get a refund on my WordPress.com subscription within the refund window, and move to WordPress.org, can it???

Hi @samkass,
I checked your account and noticed that all your sites are currently on the Creator plan. This plan does not display the subscribe button, so there’s absolutely no need to cancel your plans and switch to a different platform.
I understand your concerns, and I want to assure you that sites on WordPress.com, especially those on the Creator plan, use the exact same version of WordPress that’s available on WordPress.org. This means you’re not missing out on any features or functionalities by choosing to stay with us. Additionally, by hosting your site on WordPress.com, you benefit from our highly reliable managed infrastructure, which ensures your site is always running smoothly and securely.
If you have any specific customization needs or further questions, our support team is here to help. So please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any more assistance.
