The tagline? Go to Settings > General. Remove the tagline from the box below the site title, at the top of the page. Scroll down to the bottom, and click Save.

No, No, No.. I am not trying to remove the Tag line under the Title. Black Tag marks show on all the pictures with my page post, how do you remove those please?

    Have you visited my Blog?

    Thanks,

    Kent

First, there are a lot of WordPress themes and some have unique or unusual features. Volunteers such as myself should not be expected to have knowledge of and experience with each such feature. This is the first time I’ve looked at the Expound theme.

I’m still not sure what you’re referring to.The “Uncategorized” labels over the thumbnail images? If so, “uncategorized” would normally indicate that you haven’t given the post a category. I’m trying to figure out how these labels, which partially obscure the image, can be removed.

Category or tag labels appear on the images in the examples given at the main WordPress page on the Expound theme, and on the thumbnail featured images on the demo page.

What I found most odd is that this page shows the second through fifth posts at what appear to be the heads of four columns, and the though the page says

Your first five posts with the tag set above and a Featured Image will show up in the featured area, with the most recent being the primary featured post and the remaining four in columns beneath it, as shown in the demo.

the remaining four do not show in columns in the demo, but rather display one on top of the other in a single column just as yours do.

If you haven’t assigned a Featured Content tag to any posts, Expound will display up to five sticky posts in the featured posts area. If you have neither sticky posts nor any posts tagged with a Featured Content tag, your newest five posts will be displayed in the featured posts area.

The presence of absence on posts of a “Featured Content tag,” a feature I’ve never seen on another theme, is set at Appearance > Customize. I’m not sure if the paragraph quoted directly above pertains to your issue, but it might provide a hint to resolving it. I notice that in the demo, no posts beyond the fifth post have such a label on top of and partially obscuring the featured images thumbnails.
