Remove the WordPress announcement bar

  How to remove the WP announcement bar in the administrative interface?
  I can’t seem ti find the option anywhere in the settings.
  I don’t feel I need this bar, I have other ways to get the information. Besides, most of the annoucements are shown several times – and are old…

  Apparently, all it takes is clicking to read the announcement. If you’ve read it through any other route, you’ll keep seeing it, but if you click on it there you won’t see it again. At least, that’s what I’ve heard.

  I wish I did not have those extra clicks (to read the announcement anc return to my page) to get rid of the bar…
