Remove two-step-authentication

Hello,
I decided against two-step-authentication and went ahead and disabled the function – at least I believe I succeeded in doing this (I wasn’t informed thereof). However, now I am really concerned to sign off because I couldn’t tell if indeed the function has been disabled and curiously enough in the process of signing up for this function I wanted to not continue and did not finish the procedure and stopped before hitting the finishing button. Nonetheless, I am signed up for this but find it too complicated. Please, I do not want that function and I want to make sure I will in future be able to access my account with the password without further steps. Sorry for the inconvenience .. but could you please verify that in future I do not need any back-up verification codes or anything else. Thank you!
