remove Unattached Photos

Hi there, Staff can only empty your site. If you want to delete something specific, you’ll need to do this yourself.
Be extra cautious when deleting Unattached images unless you are completely certain none of them are being used in posts or pages. Depending on when and where you uploaded it, an image may appear to be unattached, but is in use.
Once permanently deleted you won’t be able to recover your images, so before you delete anything, I suggest exporting your media through the utility at https://wordpress.com/export/
When you are ready to delete, use the Bulk Edit utility in your site’s WP Admin dashboard by first changing from thumbnail to list view and then using the filter at the top of the page to sort for all Unattached images. https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/#bulk-deletion
Then tick the box at the top of the column on the left side of the page and from the second drop down box (Bulk Actions) choose “delete permanently”
Depending on how many images you are deleting, you may have to repeat this procedure a few times and you may get an error, but your images are being deleted in the background.
