Remove Unfinished Site

  We have a researcher that had a grad student start a site at https://umichabil.wordpress.com/. The researcher contacted my department to help her get access to the site to do some editting. It should have never been put up on wordpress.com as we have our own internal hosting for any deparmental pages. No one has the email associated with the account as they don’t remember what group email was used. Since it’s a University of Michigan project, we need to find a way to take this down so when we replace it there is no confusion. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  Are you able to log in as user stresssample, or does the username ring a bell? That’s the site owner, so they can take it down or make it private as you’d like.

  We checked, and it’s not a University linked email. I’ve tried several email addresses to see if they’re associated with the site, but none have registered as users on wordpress.com.

  We can’t give out any details about the account. With out access to it, there’s nothing we can do. Any of these changes would need to be initiated from the owner’s account.

  I have sent an email to that account. Hopefully they’ll write back and we can help you get this sorted.
