Remove user and delete site

Need to remove a user (that is no longer with our company) so that I can delete this site: http://direccionandodatos.com/ I don’t understand why I cannot do this when I am the one who set up the site to begin with. I also don’t understand why WP is making it so difficult to cancel a subscription – very unprofessional.

If you are looking to remove a user from your site access, this is a great support page that can walk you through doing that. First you will need to be in your Dashboard so you will want to add the /wp-admin to the end of your site so you can go there.

Thanks. That did not help. It keeps telling me that I don’t have permissions to remove him. Which is odd, because again, I paid for this site, created it, and added him as a user. I even looked at transferring ownership and it won’t even let me do that.

The only time you should not be able to remove a user is if you are not the owner of the site. Could it be possible that he had made himself the owner at some point? If he is the owner of the site than he would need to begin the transferring ownership process you mentioned before.
I noticed that both sites are marked as private right now, so they are not visible to the public at this time as well.

I am the owner of the site. I created 2 blogs for my company and am the administrator. He could have made himself the owner. Right now it is showing that he has admin rights, but I have admin rights too. I marked the sites as private because I want to delete them as we are hosting our own blog on our company website.

Hi there,
That site was created and is currently owned by the username, chojrin22. Your username was added as an admin on the same day the site was created, but your account did not create that site.
The only way to remove chojrin22 from the site is if they transfer ownership of the site to you.
As an admin you do have the ability to delete the site even if you’re not the owner, but chojrin22 also owns a Premium Theme on that site. Only chojrin22 can request the cancellation of that theme, so they will need to contact us to confirm before I can do that. You don’t need to remove a user to delete a site, but you do need to remove all upgrades.
That user cancelled the Premium Plan and domain on the site only two days ago, so to me it appears as if they still have access and is active on the site.
