remove white box on my site?

  I just changed my theme to Structure by Organic Themes and on the homepage there is a white box that I’ve been trying to remove for a while but have no idea how. Can anyone please tell me how to remove it permanently?

  That is the featured image box. Unless you have the custom design/css upgrade, there is no way to remove it.

  If you did remove it, there would be a gaping hole blank hold there to the left of the “hometop” widget on the far right.

  This is just an opinion which you can disregard if your wish. Your background image needs to be screened (lower opacity) to perhaps 50-60%. Right now when I go to your site, all I see is the image and anytime I try to look at a post, my eye is drawn back to the image. The site becomes all about the image and not about the content.
