remove widgets – categories and meta Data (E-portfolio)

  I am setting up e-portfolio for my college course and the instructions I’ve been given are to click on tab: “Widgets: main Widget Area” and remove both Categories and meta Data widgets. When I click on either widget, there is no option to ‘remove’
  Please help

  Can you take a screenshot so we can take a look at the options you’ve got while the regular support staff aren’t around?

  If you get to the widget section of the customiser you should be able to click on the widget title and see a blue Remove link as shown here. Any luck?
