Remove 'widgets' from page ie archieves catorgies etc

Well I think they are widgets….
I just want to strip my site down to basics…The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. To remove your widgets, click on Customize ->Widgets on the My Sites page, or Appearance ->Widgets on WP-Admin. Delete any widgets you see there.
If you don’t see any, that’s because your theme is showing default widgets. Ironically, the only way to make them go away is by adding your own widgets. Add a blank text widget to the sidebar, and they will go away without anything new appearing.
