Remove WordPress credits at bottom of site
-
I am trying to remove the following credits, which are found at the very bottom of my site:
Blog at WordPress.com.
Theme: Customized Linen by The Theme FoundryCould I get some help, please? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com requires that you keep the credits and credit links visible and working. If you need help adding a line to the footer credits or modifying their style, we can help with that though.

Ok. I understand. Thanks for offering to still help. Could we somehow word it so it doesn’t say “blog”? Maybe:
Website Maintained by Rose Marketing Solutions
Website powered by WordPress.com
Design Theme: Customized Linen by Theme FoundryThen, we could make all those hyperlinks to their respective sites?

There isn’t a way to change the word “Blog” in the footer credits right now, but it’s really good that you posted this as feedback and we’ve been working on some A/B testing for changing around the footer wording recently and we will probably continue to test for a while. Your feedback is helpful.
Here’s how to add text to the beginning of the existing footer language (which is the best solution I have for you for now):
#copyright:before { content: "Website Maintained by Rose Marketing Solutions."; }There is not a way to add a link to that text using CSS only. But if you’re looking to add a link too, what you can do is add a text widget with the link to the sidebar or to a footer widget area and then re-position it into the footer area (if needed) using absolute positioning.

Hi
I would like my blog address to read as xxxxxxxxxx.com instead of the xxxxxxxxxx.wordpress.com.
Is this allowed?
Thanks

Yes you can purchase a domain mapping upgrade http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ but that’s off-topic for this thread. -
I would like to move my credit and credit links so I can use the right side of my footer for widgets. Can I do this with CSS?

May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions -
@eatingininstead – it looks like you have a theme that has three footer areas so there should be no need to do anything with the footer credits
-
It doesn’t have three footer areas. When I go to the widgets menu, I have a header and only two footer options. The credits take up all of the left footer. I’m not trying to delete the credits, I just want to be able to use all three footer sections, so I can add widgets above the credits.

@eatingininstead
All CSS editing is theme specific. The blogger who posted this thread is using Linen. You are not using the Linen theme. You are using Imbalance 2 that means you are posting off-topic and ought start your own thread please. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization -
