Remove WordPress site from Google search results

  Hello,
  How do you remove an unused and closed WordPress blog from showing up in Google search results? According to the Google support pages, you need to contact the website owner(webmaster) to delete it. Does anybody know how to go about accomplishing this? Thanks very much.

  Hi, is the blog permanently deleted or just set to private?

  If your blog is still up and public, you will have to verify it on the Google Console (formerly Webmaster Tools). After verification, request a removal from your Google Console. It’s still upto Google’s discretion to delete it from their index.

  If the blog is deleted, it’s entirely up to Google as to when to delete it from their index and WordPress.com can’t help with that.
