Removed photos still appearing in google search

    Hello,

    I need these photos removed from Google search asap – https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=osasu+arigbe&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwii_v3z4IXbAhXMhOAKHekxDkQQBQgyKAA&biw=1745&bih=873&dpr=1.1#imgrc=_

    I deleted the blog post, but they are still in google search, although they just link back to my main blog (https://rlincolnphoto.wordpress.com), not the photos or old post.

    I already tried to use Google’s link to submit photos for removal, to crawl my website, and remove outdated content, but the problem is that the photos are linked to my main website – https://rlincolnphoto.wordpress.com – not anything more specific, so Google just asks if I want to remove the entire site, which I obviously do not.

    What can I do?

    Hi,
    I think the issue is that Google is caching the images in it’s images and it may take sometime for them to disappear from search results.
    There is a good help page here about deleting files:

    In particular there is a paragraph at the bottom that explains your issue I believe:
    Images (and other media) that you delete from WordPress.com still may be cached by search engines. In those cases, you should contact the search engine directly to find out how to remove the images from their servers.
    You can use the form on Google Webmaster Tools to hasten the removal of the images from their index but you will need to submit the exact URL’s of the images, not the page that they are on.
    Deleting the page or blog post will not remove the images from the Media Library so their URL’s will still work.
    You can get the exact URL by going into the media library and selecting the image and then clicking the Edit button at the top.
    This shows you the details of the image, one of which is the exact URL of the image that you can submit to Google.
    If you have already deleted the image from the media library my guess is that it is just a matter of time until Google re-crawls the site and finds the image gone.
