Removed Sidebar. How to widen content?

  Hey all, so I just removed the sidebar from a created template file, yet the content that I wanted to give more space to is still not spreading through the width of the page.

  Do I have to modify the template somewhere?

  I just took the index.php copied/renamed and removed the sidebar line.
