remove/hide dropdown menu pages

  hello. my current theme allows for the sub pages to be shown via a drop down list when you hover over the parent pages name. i would like to remove this drop down list feature as i have linked the pages in one list on the top level page so that it dosnt result in a crowded menu list . does anyone know how to do this?
  I am using the twenty eleven theme…

  Create a custom menu and then include only those pages that you want in the top navigation.
