removeing the sidebar from gateway blog posts
-
Hello I have been trying to figure out how to remove the sidebar from my blog posts. There is no configuration in the theme for this. Does anyone have a CSS that I can use for this theme (gateway).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every theme has a detailed theme description page and this one is at https://wordpress.com/themes/gateway/ That’s where set up instructions for it are found. The live demo site is at https://gatewaydemo.wordpress.com/

Full-Width Page Template
Gateway supports the Full-Width page template https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/#template, when applied, the page will not feature a sidebar, as shown on this example page. https://gatewaydemo.wordpress.com/a-parent-page/full-width-no-sidebar/Pages are not Posts. https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

yes I understand that for the page but I’m referring to blog post only there is no attribute setting for blogs.

I believe that’s because that ability does not exist. However, I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please be patient while waiting.
Note: Widget have visibility settings https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility that determine which pages they display on.

Hi @lifeofaris,
With the Gateway theme it’s possible to switch to a full width template (no sidebar) for pages, but not for individual posts. As you mentioned, there are no Page Attribute settings for posts.
You’ll notice that posts on the Gateway theme demo site all have a sidebar:

As @timethief suggested, you can edit the widget visibility settings. This would enable you to display sidebar widgets specific to your blog:
Let me know if you need any further help.
