removing a category permanately

  I am trying to delete by side category of a healthier you. It is under the archives on the side of the home page. I have created a page for a healthier you and do not wish to have 2 of them up. I tried to delete the category and it won’t let me. It mentions something about tag lines? but I do not want to tag it either, I just want it gone. This is a professional site for me and I want it to look put together. I also do not use my yaycupcakes email anymore. In fact I don’t even remember the password. Could you please respond to me at (email visible only to moderators and staff) Thanks for any help!

  It seems that “A healthier you” is you only category. You could create a new category in order to remove the old one. This can be done at ‘Posts’ -> ‘Categories’ in your blog’s dashboard.

  If you don’t have access to your account or forgot the password, you can request a new password by entering your email address here: http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Please follow the instructions carefully. You’ll receive two separate emails during the reset process, so make sure you read them both. If you don’t receive the emails right away, check your spam folders as well. The confirmation emails can get caught in them sometimes :)

  After that you can change your account’s e-mail address at the bottom of this page.
