Removing a Visible Page on Blog, but the Page is Invisible on Dashboard All Page

    Hi, Help Support.
My accuratebodylanguage.com WordPress Blog visually shows a tab/page called STAMP, although when I am the dashboard all pages, I don’t see STAMP listed. The dashboard only shows my 3 intended pages: (1) Accurate Body Language, LLC Consulting Services; (2) Truth Seekers; and (3) Contact Us.

What needs to be done so that this 4th visible /phantom page called STAMP is removed. It does not appear on my dashboard all pages, but it is visible when viewing the acccuratebodylanguage.com WordPress blog?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Janette, I’m not seeing a page called STAMP as you can see in this screenshot – http://cl.ly/image/3P2N3r2J0a28 – so I wonder if you’d mind uploading a screenshot to help in troubleshooting.

Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you’re not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library so I can see it.

To rule out a browser-specific issue, do you see this extra page in another browser, like Chrome or Firefox?

    Thanks!

    Hi, Kathryn (Happiness Engineer).

Unfortunately, I am unable to do screenshot, but I am hoping my narrative can explain the issue.

Yes, even on different browsers, I still see a Tab entitled “Stamp Out Liars” to the far right of the navigation bar. The Tabs from left to right read: (1) Home; (2) Accurate Body Language, LLC Consulting Services; (3) Truth Seekers; (4) Contact Us; and (5) Stamp Out Liars. When I click on the “Stamp Out Liars” page tab, I see the following message on the page:
    “Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here”

Please let me know what I can do to eliminate/delete the page tab “Stamp Out Liars” especially when the Dashboard does not list this as a page to delete.

On Dashboard, I thought I previously “deleted permanently” the unintended page of “Stamp Out Liars” and this page is not visibly listed on the Dashboard. However, the tab “Stamp Out Liars” is visible from browsers Explorer and Safari. On some browsers/computer, I only see the word “Stamp…”, but on Explorer, I see the full unintended page tab “Stamp Out Liars.”

    Thank you, Janette Ghedotte

  • Thanks for the detailed information!

You need to remove this page from your custom menu, under Appearance > Menus:

    https://accuratebodylanguage.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php

Click the arrow on it, and then click the “Remove” link.

    That should do the trick.
