Removing administrator
-
Hello,
I run a site on WordPress.com, which currently has two administrators: the guy that helped set up the site and myself. I want to upgrade to a paid WordPress plan, bur would like to be the sole owner of the site before doing so. How can I remove the other administrator from the site? Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi –
What’s the site in question?
To remove the other administrator you’ll need to have ownership of the site. This could require that the current owner transfer that over to you.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
The site is https://partidolibertarioportugues.wordpress.com
Before I posted this question here, I contacted the other administrator. In the meantime, he replied, saying that he was going to connect the site to me email.
Where can I see who is the owner of the site?
Thanks!

The ownership hasn’t been transferred for that site yet. I’d suggest having the current owner contact us here in this thread and then I can do it for them.

Hello,
I have passed your message, yesterday, to the owner. I got a reply from him saying that he would do it.
Thanks for your assistance.

Looks like this is done now, folks, so I’ll go ahead and close this thread.
In case anyone else needs help with this, site owners can transfer a site to other users on their own using these steps:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/Staff may need to get involved if there are non-domain upgrades, but if you use those steps we’ll let you know if we need to assist.
