Removing ads on purchased theme

I just purchased a new theme called Silvio and I notice that it still carries ads. It is my understanding that on purchased themes there are no ads placed on the site. How do I remove ads from my blog site?

It is my understanding that on purchased themes there are no ads placed on the site.
It is actually if you purchase an upgraded plan that you get the option to remove the ads shown on free sites. If you had purchased the Premium plan for example you could then access the Silvio theme, or other Premium themes, for no extra charge, although you would need to renew the plan annually.

This did not answer my question at all. Ads still appear on my new purchased theme which is Silvio. What has to be done to remove the ads?

I’m sorry if that wasn’t clear. If you look in your dashboard you’ll no doubt find that are still on a free plan. Ads appear on your site until you upgrade to a paid plan (rather than a paid Premium theme).

You can buy a theme and not buy any plans. The advertisements are only withdrawn with the purchase of a plan.
