Removing and amending header/footer on WordPress site

    My company have a number of WordPress sites and I want to remove and amend the header and footer of the site pages but cannot see in the Admin back end how to do this. Please can someone advise?

    Hey there, how you do this will depend on the theme you’re using. With newer themes you’ll use the site editor. With older ones, your best bet may be the theme’s settings. Can you send a link to the site?

    Also, these forums are for the sites hosted and managed here at WordPress.com, vs. sites using WordPress code with another host. If you’re not sure about your site, send a link, and we can point you in the right direction.
