removing Archive and Meta from Home page

  The word ‘Archive’ and ‘Meta’ (followed by Site Admin and Log In) appear on my static Home page in one of the side columns. How do I remove those? I don’t want anything in the side columns.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Know that you have to be logged in as Admin under the exact same username that registered the blog to nagigate to > Dashboard > Apperance > Widgets

  thanks — I have since learned that the with the Theme I’m using, Archives and Meta cannot be removed unless you add a widget. The TwentyEleven theme has these as Default widgets – so either I have to choose one column/no sidebar or add a widget to eliminate them.
