Removing Archive and Meta Widgets from Adventure Travel Template
-
Hi,
I would like to remove the Archive / Meta Widgets from my blog – I wish this to appear like a website, rather than a blog.
I have tried doing this through Appearances / Widgets but has not worked.
I have CSS upgrade and am only just learning this, so would like advice on how to remove these widgets using CSS code.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Adventure Travel Template actually has a one column layout. Look under Appearance → Theme Options.
To use a static front page, see this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
The CSS upgrade can be used to make changes beyond what you can do with the things that are available in the Appearance submenu, like Theme Options. Try checking those things out and if you want to make more complex updates than what you see there, let us know and we can help you if any CSS things are needed.
