removing 'archives' and 'meta' sidebar; Twenty Eleven
-
Hi,
Please have a look at this link, and especially the ‘News’ section. I’d like to remove completely the ‘Meta’ sections, as well as the ‘Archive’ Section. Is it possible?
Thanks

… oh, and just to be clear: these meta and archive sections only appear on this specifc page, none of the others. So I don’t know why that is, and don’t think it’s anything associated with widgets (i’ve checked). Thanks

If you mean you want other widgets instead of those, go to Appearance > Widgets and add the ones you want. See here:

Hi,
thanks for this. It worked. But have a look now, and the whole page has now shrunk, i.e. its thinner. Anything that can be done about that?
Cheers,
Mat

That’s the way this theme works. But since you’ve got the Custom Design upgrade, you can change the width. You can post this question in the CSS forum and wait for a staff reply.
