Removing Author Name
-
Is there any way I can remove my author tag on the bottom of my posts? Thanks for your help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you have the paid CSS upgrade? I would think you could remove it that way. Or at the very least set the color of the font to the same color as the background so it’s effectively invisible. But if you’ve no CSS experience, don’t buy it without trying first. Use the free preview feature to make sure you can get the effect you want.
Alternatively would using a nickname be a better choice for you? You cannot change a WordPress.com account username once it has been set. However, you can change what is seen on your posts and comments by changing the display name (nickname) in your profile, or you can create a new account and transfer your blog(s) to the new account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

The third alternative would be to change to a theme that does not display the post author’s name. Here’s a helpful list of the themes that either do or don’t display author names http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/

@tjscouten: your “author tag on the bottom” isn’t added by the theme; it’s a link to your twitter page, and it’s part of the content of each post, so I really don’t understand your question.

@Panos
Thanks. That theme is the worst of all for visually challenged people like me to view. I captured the whole darn page now and put it on a white background with black font, and I found out the blogger’s name also appears in the tags:
Tags: gift, maker, perfect, scouten , tea, teavana, tjscouten -
Aaah, that tag! Thanks in return, timethief!
@tjscouten: Dashboard sidebar > Posts > Post tags: hover under tag, click Delete.

@Panaghiotisadam
I apologize for not selecting the right blog, but I was referring to http://asleepinchapel.wordpress.com/ and not a “tag” but the “by: tjscouten” part, and if you open one of the posts it is their at the bottom (which is on both blogs). Just not when you look at the preview on the home page.And thanks @timethief, I wound change my nickname but I have three blogs and it would change the name on all three I believe which isn’t something I want to do.

@tjscouten: In that case we’re back to timethief’s suggestions. Note that the CSS option is only a maybe: in many themes it’s not possible to isolate the author name from the rest of the post metadata (that’s what that section is called). But I don’t know if that’s the case with Monotone – for a definitive answer you’ll have to wait till one of our CSS experts drops by.
