removing author name from blog posts
-
I have tried inserting a number of CSS lines into my customization field, but nothing seems to work to remove my name from each post. Is this possible to do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All CSS editing is theme specific editing. I searched and found this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/removing-author-link-profile-photo-from-pinboard?replies=2
Please be patient while waiting for another Volunteer or Staff to assist you.

thanks!
It seems I can’t delete the author name without deleting the tags on the home page: separate posts appear fine (no author, yes tags) but home page has author name tied to tags. Either show all or none.I think I can live with this!

No, you don’t have to live with what you don’t like on your homepage :-)
We can delete the author name without deleting the tags on the home page.
Could you remove whole of the existing custom CSS and add this:
.home .author-img, .home span.author.vcard, .home div.entry-meta span.sep { display:none; } .single-post .entry-meta .author-img,.single-post .entry-meta .author { display: none }This rules will remove author image and author name from both home page and single post page. We can retain date, categories and tags.
Please try this styles and don;t hesitate to come back for more :-)

There might be some themes that do not publish author name. But it requires little effort to search for them in the Theme Showcase.

Is there another way to remove author names without editing CSS?
Most themes will display the author name if it is a multi-author blog and hide it if it is a single author blog (there is only one author with published posts listed on the Users page in the dashboard). There could be exceptions too though, so checking through themes as chaitanyamsv suggested is a good idea.

chandnilafleur, I checked http://teamate.ru/ and that site does not appear to be hosted here at WordPress.com. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences.
I’ll see what I can do to answer and then ask that you post additional questions in the volunteer-based forums for WordPress.org at http://wordpress.org/support/
You can change the words ‘share this’ above the social icons in your blog settings (without using CSS) if you are using the Jetpack plugin for those sharing icons (it looks like you are). To do that, go to Settings > Sharing in your blog dashboard and look for the “Sharing label” option. Update the words there, and you should be all set.
