Removing avatar
-
Hi,
In the flurry of the first days, I uploaded the image that I wanted on one of the pages of my blog but it ended up as an avatar as well (I am not saying that someone else did it, I just don’t remember doing it :).
I see that I can replace that image with another but not how to remove the existing one from the avatar without using any other image. I’d prefer to have that blank.Thanks.

Hello,
Here’s a link to a blank avatar you can upload to replace your current one. http://faq.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/blank-avatar.jpg
-> Users -> Your Profile is the page to go to in order to upload it
Cheers :) -
Hi timethief,
I tried and tried and ended up with a white square for an avatar. That’s not quite what I had in mind when I said ‘blank’. I meant more like ‘nothing’ :)
Thanks, but please help. -
When logged and posting on the forums or when commenting on wordpress.com blogs, there will always be the frame for the avatar visible in your replies. If what you are wanting to do is not have the frame appear at all, make sure you are not logged in when commenting on blogs. Since you have to be logged in here in the forums to post, then the frame would still be there.

Thank you both. I suspected that. I am sure I’ll be able to find something acceptable :)
Best regards,
