Removing background from page

  I would like to create one page for my site that has no background, simply a plain white page with my text on it. Is that possible with this version?

  This may be possible with your theme, but it requires the use of CSS, which is a part of the WordPress.com Premium Plan:

  So this is beyond what I can do. I knew I couldn’t make a redirect page, and I wanted to build one this way. I’m trying to keep the old site up until I can finish transferring the pages to the new one, and yet keep people from getting to them. No such luck. I’m not paying to upgrade a site that’s going to close soon.
