Removing Blog post from Home page

I’ve tried everything to remove a blog post from my home page with no resolution. This includes admin reader settings, verifying if it’s a sticky post or not, switching to a static page. Is there anything I might have missed?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi –

I’m happy to take a look at this. Can you tell me what the text is that you’re trying to remove. Thanks!

    Hi Liz,

I’m trying to remove the blog post ‘Live week, It’s a wrap” in it’s entirety from my home page. I’d love for it to live underneath the blog tab in the order in which it was written if possible. Thanks! ~Renola

  • Your theme has a featured content area on the front page you can use to feature specific posts in a special slider. This is controlled by a tag.

If you go to My Site ->Customize ->Featured Content, you’ll see you currently have that tag set as “featured”, and I see that same tag is added to the post you’re seeing. Edit the post and remove that tag, and it should disappear from the featured content slider.

Note that it might take an hour or two after removing the tag before the post will go away – some themes cache the slider content, but once your site’s cache refreshes it should disappear.
