Go to your Appearance>Widgets
You should see a links widget. You can delete it from there :)

Hi stephanie, do u know how i make it so my gravatar shows up on my page, and not that purple x?

thetruthhh,
You gravatar should be automatically linked between WordPress.com and Gravatar. You can go to http://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/profile.php and click on the “Change your Gravatar” link to change your Gravatar.

Cofee, i did that but it won’t seem to save the gravatar when it goes to my website or when i post like on here. Do you see my picture on the left?

The display of a gravatar is NOT instaneous as the many threads on this in the forum searchbox reveals. It takes time sometimes days for the propagation to take place throughout the internet.
These are the best practices for uploading your gravatar:
(1) Choose an image that scales both up and down in size without losing definition. Prepare the image prior to uploading it and make sure it’s 512 x 512 pixels or larger so it will look the best in the widest range of uses.
(2) The image filetype has to be either PNG, GIF or JPG. Make sure the file name contains only letters and numbers – no special characters – and make sure all letters are in lowercase.
(3) Also make sure the image file name has an extension (Example – image.jpg)
(4) Note that there is a time delay while your gravatar image propagates.
(5) If you are experiencing problems then go to the gravatar site and read the FAQs as it contains common questions and answers to them http://en.gravatar.com/site/faq/
I hope this helps. Best wishes. :)

@ panaghiotisadam great help man. Thanks a lot. I did it using Text widget(Arbitrary text or HTML). Now my blog looks clear without any unnecessary links in blog roll. This is really very handy.

Getting back to the original question … I added the links widget, and created a custom category, and the page shows both a Blogroll (with seven delivered links) plus my own category. If I remove the links widget, all of these links, including my custom ones, will be removed, right? How do I just remove the delivered Blogroll category?

@newmiddleclass: You open the Links widget, select the category you want from the pulldown, click Save.
