Removing \"Category:\" from Category Index pages
-
I am using the Fortune Theme on several blogs I manage and would like to remove “Category:” from the title of Category index pages.
For example, on this page I would like “Category: Digital Media” to just read “Digital Media”.
I found the following CSS to remove the whole page title, but I’d like to keep the page title without “Category:”
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

…here is the CSS I have that removes the page title from Category index pages:
.category .page-title {
display: none;
}…here is the example of a page I’d like to remove “Category:” from:

Hi @rhys
The following CSS code will hide that category word from the page title.
.page-title span { display: none; }Please keep in mind that I say “will hide” that means the “Category:” word won’t show up to the user but will still exist in HTML code of the theme.
The CSS code above should be placed in the CSS editor in your Dashboard.
To access the CSS editor, first launch your site customizer then click on the CSS tab to access the CSS editor.Please note that the Custom CSS feature is only included in Premium and Business plans and you can read more about it here:

Hi rhys,
I found this topic in the Fortune theme forum:
https://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/topic/a-few-questions-13/Question #2 seems to be what you are asking and the Theme Author says it cannot be done with CSS but there is a solution using a child theme. If you are a WordPress.com Business Plan user perhaps you can contact him for some help.
