Removing 'Category:' from header
-
Hello everyone, I have a simple question, and I have seen others have the same problem.
I almost have my website looking as I want it but there is one problem. In the header of many pages in which I have used categories as menus, it shows “Category:” before the actual title of the category.
Please help me solve this. I am using the Pique theme. I have looked at other peoples suggestions from similar problems but am still lost in solving this issue.
My website is https://joyfulberlin.wordpress.com/
Thank you very much for your help,

Hi Vivien,
You got it right its a common issue here is a solution for youSo, there isn’t currently a way to remove that. If you have access to Custom CSS
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/(part of a Premium Plan or Business Plan) you can sometimes work around it, but you would need to add a different bit of code for each individual category. If you are subscribed to the Premium or Business Plan , then I can get you some Custom CSS ( https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/ ) help you with it.
And if you are on a Business or Premium plan
https://wordpress.com/pricing/The Category, tag and archive page titles are created by the WordPress and theme software as a single string of text, so we can’t hide just the Category: part. Although this is not what you are wanting, the following will hide the entire title on Category pages.
.single .entry-meta { display: none; }Hope this helps, Let us know if we can help you further…!
