Removing comment option on Static Home page
-
Hi there! I am fairly experienced with WordPress but am having a problem I can’t seem to figure out and would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide.
I am creating a new page and have created a new “Home” page that I have set to static. This will be the landing page and would like to remove the commenting option on this page. There are a couple of other pages I’ll be creating that I don’t want to allow commenting on but after that, all other posts should allow comments. Is there a way to do this in Twenty-Ten?
I plan to upgrade my page to the $99 plan, will this give me the option of removing the comment option on individual pages? Is there another way?
Thans in advance for your help!

I’m in the same boat. I would rather not have the Reply To box on my static landing page and wondering how can it be removed. So far, I do not see an option on how to get this done.

A little bit of digging and I came across this discussion on same topic.

That’s perfect! Thank you! I had found the screen options but was checking “comments” rather than “discussion”. UGH – frustrated that it was right under my nose the whole time but grateful to have an answer. Thanks again!
