Removing comments from Confit pages

  Hello,
  I am now using the “Confit” theme for my website.
  I have been trying to remove the “comments” section from each page of my site. I tried doing it manually for each page and I tried doing it through the Discussion tab in the edit menu. Both did not work
  I would love to hear how to do it differently, as I am a bit lost here..

  Hi there,

  I recommend disabling the comments on your site’s pages with these steps:

  1. Go to the Pages > All Pages screen in your site’s dashboard.
  2. Select the pages you would like to modify or check the box next to “Title” column at the top to select all pages listed there.
  3. Select Edit from the Bulk Actions drop down menu.
  4. Click the Apply button.
  5. Change the options for Comments and Pings to Do not allow.
  6. Click the Update button.

  Can I ask another question?
  I was wonderign if and how I can remove the “posted on” line on my posts. As I am using the site as a site and not as a blog, I would prefer it does not appear there. How can I do that?

  That “posted on” line is part of the Confit theme’s design, and there isn’t a built-in option to remove it. However, you can further customize your theme’s design with the Custom Design upgrade. With that upgrade, you can use Custom CSS to remove the “posted on” line and make other changes if you’d like.
