Removing Comments which Appear After Pingbacks

  I cross-links my posts quite often and that leads to lots of ‘comments’ in the form of Pings, which doesn’t look too neat. If I ‘unapprove’ each one of these pings, will it harm my SEO ranking? I understand a well-connected mesh of posts do better in terms of SEO. Thanks.

  I too would like to know this. i know they can be hidden but I am not sure if that is the same as unapproving them.

  No unapproving them will not hurt SEO. You can choose to simply “trash” them rather than approving them. Note also that under the editor box you will see “Discussion” there you can choose not to send pings. Look for this:
  ___ Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page.

  Thanks timethief. wasn’t sure if trashing them would make a difference. Guess I will remove the ones on that are active as far as comments and I will disable them on future posts.

  In the very first post you made there is an option you can choose to mark this thread “resolved”.
