Removing contributors from private website without removing content?

  Hi,

  I’m trying to remove contributors to a private wordpress blog, however I don’t want to remove the content they put on the website, is that possible?

  To be clear, what I’m trying to do is to remove from them the ability to read the website at all, not remove any content.

  You’ll have to first remove them as a user via Dashboard > Users.

  While removing them, you can assign their posts to another user. This way their posts will not be deleted.

  The only way you can prevent them from seeing your blog is by making your blog private via Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Only the invited viewers will be able to see/read your blog and it possibly won’t appear in web searches.
