removing credit card info to pass blog onto someone else

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi! I want to pass this blog onto someone else in the support group, but I want to be sure that they don’t have access to my credit card information. If I cancel auto renew, the next person can just click restore auto renew – does this mean if they do this that my credit card will be charged?
How can I pass this on to someone else while protecting my credit card and contact info?
    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You can remove the credit card which you have on file by logging in to your account’s Dashboard and then going to Users >> Personal Settings where you will see a section titled “Stored Credit Card Details”. There you will have the opportunity to remove any credit card information which we have stored for you.

Thanks for your help, but I do not see a section for Stored Credit Card Details. The closest thing is Account Details for: username, email, website and password.

If that section does not appear (it would be right above “Account Details” then we do not have any credit card currently on file for your username.

Keep in mind that if you would like others to operate this blog you can always add other administrators. They won’t be able to renew the domain, but they would be able to maintain the rest of the blog in every other way. You can read about how to do so right here:

Thank you! I’m glad to know that my credit card info is not on file.
I’m also using the link you gave to get a better understanding of the various roles. You’ve been very helpful – I appreciate it!
