Removing custom header lines in Press Row template

I’m new to WordPress and I love the preset templates but I would like to make one minor change! In the Press Row template, there are two dark lines over the header image that I would like to remove. I’m not that familiar with CSS (I’m more of an HTML girl) but even still, I hear that you need to purpose an upgrade to make that kind of change. Help, please!

Yes, you need to pay for the css upgrade.
I actually think it looks better with the lines there, than it will without, though.
