Removing dashboard link
-
I’m trying to set up a private blog for College staff to post anonymously using just one account (that they need to log in with to see the blog). But I don’t want to give this user account access to the dashboard, where they can delete other posts etc. Can the Dashboard link on the WP nav bar be disabled? Thanks . . . .

No, it can’t.
It would be best if the college staff registered just for an account (no blog). You can then add them to the user permissions to view the blog. They then can’t get to the main dashboard and can make comments in their own name.

If they will be making actual posts, then also make sure you set their level to author or contributor and not to administrator.
