Removing date from permalinks – bulk site-wide fix
-
I have tried for weeks, and I swear I have viewed every blog in existence trying to solve this problem.
I want to make posts like:
https://www.entrancedbywilderness.com/2018/02/13/mt-ruapehu/
turn into
https://www.entrancedbywilderness.com/mt-ruapehu/
I’ve tried about three methods via the Better Search Replace plugin, and also adding a line to the .htaccess file
The links i’m trying to change are just internal links throughout my site, like at the bottom of this page:
https://www.entrancedbywilderness.com/mt-ngauruhoe/Please help me on this one! I can’t get rid of the 404 errors.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @matthewjamescowellgmailcom, can I recommend asking your host for help with a redirect match, so that any old links automatically go to the new, dateless address?
Going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services. You can find our pricing here:
