You cannot remove the embedded dates in URLs. However,you can remove the dates appearing on the blog next to post titles using CSS editing. The CSS upgrade has Staff support. Please be patient while waiting for their assistance.

As @timethief said, you can remove the dates appearing on the blog next to post titles using CSS editing.
But you cannot remove the embedded dates in URLs:Keep in mind that only the post slug can be changed. You cannot change any other part of the url such as removing the date.

To hide dates on posts in the Ubud theme, add the following example to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
.entry-details .entry-date, .entry-details .entry-comments:before { display: none; }This example also removes the extra “/” character before the “Leave a comment” link.

@designsimply,
http://thalassacreations.com/ is not a wp.com site.
So can wp.org sites hide dates on links to posts? So, and so… can wp.com sites also hide dates on links to posts???
I think I’m missing something but not understanding what that is. -

@tsp, gotcha! You are not removing the dates, but only hiding them. They are still in the URLs; if I were a more accurate reader, then I would have understood that from tt and galois. Palm to forehead…
